Been a busy week. As if knowing my calculus exam is tomorrow was enough, I was having one of those times where I go through the discarded mail on my desk a few afternoons ago, and found out that the accomodation application for University was due the next day! Heaps more un-events has added to the fustration that can now be called "The week that was".Coming out of Labour Weekend, this week has felt unusally longer than most, kind of strange since it was one day shorter. Strange weather too - nothing beats coming to school in the sunshine, gazing out to the overcast sky during class, listening to it rain at interval, hail at lunchtime, before it clears up 5 seconds before you think you can get a ride home. Wasn't all the bizarre Winter stuff supposed to happen during winter? It's Spring now! Where's the cool Spring breeze?
So on top of my University exam, NCEA exams start in just 16 days. Then there's the leavers book. Not much of an issue filling out your profile form, unless you're like me and you forget about it until it's due the next morning. Then there's finding the right photo of yourself that's not to cheesy, not to serious, eyes open, etc.
It has also come to my attention that my graduation is coming up thick and fast: November 13. I'm hoping to snag an award or two this year, only in the academic section since my sporting and arts/cultural life at school (on a scale of one to ten) ranks about a 0.4. Service awards? Well...
Being nomiated for a civic award about a week back was quite nice, especially by one of the assistant principals. Problem is, I've been nomiated three years in a row, with no luck. So here's hoping. I had 30 minutes to fill out the form, too... during Japanese class! Luckily Mr. Roberts is a understanding teacher. Great at making Japanese interesting too.
It's Halloween tomorrow! I sort of grew old of the whole trick-or-treating charade a good few years ago... but with the exam tomorrow afternoon/evening it ripped up my chances of going to a friend's 18th, but I guess that's life.
What I'm watching: Impossibly hard Tetris, anyone?
