In the new year, no-one expects a change...On haircuts, awards, shopping and new friends...
January 6 was nothing special to anyone anyway, but I thought about taking a step forward in my strange, personal life and getting a load of stuff done relating to 'change'. It's all to do with a certain statistic reaching 200 but that's far too unimportant to worry about right now.
In short I ended spending over $120 on stuff I both needed and wanted, in a sense to fill in some blanks from Christmas (I'm sure everyone has days like these?...).
Also rather shortly, I ended up progressing my gaming fandom status a little bit further (as I try to do each month or something); which in turn resulted in me donating over $50 to Toyworld. More details further below.
A haircut too, but that's no surprise as I tend to get one every 4 months or when someone mentions it, whatever comes first.
So over the weeks I've been continuing work at two different and contrasting places, selling a combination of fried chicken and electronics (I'll leave you to figure out where). Both are coming along nicely, and it's also great to have a few days here and there to take time off.
During the last weekend I also got the chance to stay a couple of nights with my Grandma who had just come back from 'sunny' Brisbane during the holidays. I will admit she spoils me like any grandparent would, but after eating mint chocolate in such a large quantity, I swear I could smell it as it came out. TMI. Moving on.
Now back to Toyworld, and after finding out that Univeristy students (or rather, at least two) still secretly enjoy trading cards (and let's not forget to mention the club at Massey that plays Magic: The Gathering) I figured I'd renew my interest in the Pokemon TCG and buy a blister pack (for those that don't know what that is, that's 3 boosters, a promo and a coin. Oh wait, that wasn't quite descriptive was it?...). I'll have to give you a game sometime Rico (a.k.a. someone else).

The Weeklies
This Weeks Video: A much much much much much much much way better version of the video I was going for two weeks ago.
(The awards mentioned in the last post have been handed out too, expect them online sometime this month).
And finally, the first website in Series 3...
Anyone that reads the scientifical webcomic that is xkcd will pick up on this one; but after reading about some common misconceptions, I thought that everyone should be in the know.
