And The Results Are In... Part 2

Intro to those that use HRWiki:
"In the shocking 20th episode, CSU turns the entire series on its ear. Will we ever see a number 21? Is the reign of long breaks between posts eminent? For the answers to these questions, be sure and check out this post." - Review Revue
Have fun spotting the references, guys!

Intro for everyone else:
Hi everyone! It's time to get the Vigintenni-post started! Drum roll please! (Feel free to ingore that other intro.)
This post was intended just to say that my Calculus results came in the post the other day. A-. Yeah, you're probably jealous. Maybe not.

It's taken me about one year to finally figure out how the whole degree system works at my paticular University. It turns out that all the grades recieved from all the papers that you do get averaged, and that is your final grade. Must be a good thing I got an A earlier in the year for my programming paper, then.
So therefore my current average must be... (A + A-)/2 = AΩ?

Christmas is coming up thick and fast, about two more weeks until 'Santa' comes down the 'chimney'. Actually I saw this great Tui ad today going past Paekakariki. Thought it summed up the situation in modern families quite nicely.

The problem that I have to face every year isn't deciding what presents to buy. No, that's easily covered since my sisters start writing their Christmas lists in March. The hard part is deciding what I want for Christmas, since anything over $100 is generally disregarded. That usually whittles it down to less than five items.

When anyone asks you what you want for Christmas, the trick is to not give a list of things, but just one thing in particular. This makes the gift giver think that you only need one thing, and that your life wont be complete without it, blah blah... And they wont even reject having to go halfway around the world to get it (although I admit that is a little farfetched). In the meantime someone else will pop the same question, tell them that you want something else on your list, and the process repeats. With this method you are most probably guaranteed to get everything you ask for, because otherwise everyone will decide to go for the cheapest thing on the list and you'll end up with a dozen copies of the same DVD. Thank goodness for gift cards and exchanges.

The challenge for me is to think of around a dozen different things within a reasonable price tag, and drop subtle or not-so-subtle hints about each of them without said item sounding too much of a wasted gift or increasing my fanboy status level to a number higher than ten.

Great to see more people taking interest in this blog! As far as I know, the number could easily exceed... ten, but to get a real idea of the number of people following, you can subscribe by clicking on the button on the right side of the page and following the instructions if you have a Google account, which you most probably have if you have been commenting, and I know some of you have. I've been looking over your shoulder. Scary.

IMPORTANT SECTION FOR SUBSCRIBERS
I finally figured out how you can get posts delivered to you! Subscribing to this blog adds it to your personal Google Reader page, and you can access it at reader.google.com. Well, it's been another 10 posts, so it's time for...
What I'm watching (Double Feature!): A great little sketch from UK's That Mitchell and Webb Look called Numberwang. It's a game show all about... well, actually you'll just have to find out here.

Plus, does anyone that knows German know if this one makes sense?

The German Numberwang sketch is in fact translated from English. I wrote the sketch with my writing partner Mark, and his wife, who is half German, translated it. Can't remember what the hell they're saying though.

They are saying just about the same, it just has some German cliches added to it. You will get to point without knowing any German.
