It's great to see that I still have time to complete posts and that. But really, the first few days have been great; I met new people and have actually seen them again today, so hopefully I wont be losing them anytime soon. So, the Let's Get Going program is highly recommended from me, it's a great way to learn about the transition into Univeristy, we've learnt about things like lectures, paper structure, taking notes, that sort of thing. Plus I've met like-minded people along the way, which was kind of the original intention.
On Friday we have a market day, and that's when I'll see the whole bunch of students descend onto the concourse, so then I'll see how crowded things can get, and hopefully on Wednesday (clubs day) I'll find another group of students with similar interests, and then we'll see where that goes.
Getting dinner has been fine today, obviously one tip is to start queueing before 5, so you're in the front few when the line starts going out the door (especially if it's raining that day). And the food; so much variety! Yesterday I had fried rice with sweet and sour pork (Jennie's probably thinking, "Eeeeew!"), and tonight I had lamb, veggies, gravy and a steamed pudding with cream for dessert. Nice.
Apparently Massey starts earlier than most other Universities around New Zealand, so I'm guessing most of my readers out there'll still be on holiday or something? Or are you fretting about University now? Ha ha, distressing, isn't it?
And with the pile of forms and handouts to look over, I've got a few more 'lectures' to go to tomorrow, but when that's finished that'll be the end of the program, so then I guess I'm let loose across the campus. And I still haven't figured out my timetable, equipment and textbooks yet!
The Final Section - Double Feature!
What I've Stumbled Upon: The Eyeballing Game - Think you have an accurate eye? Test your skill by adjusting geometric diagrams until they're 'perfect'. I scored 4.51 - Click Here. And if that's not your thing, you could always try playing a dice game, like Zilch.
What I'm Watching: While I'm at University? Seriously? Ok, so you were maybe hoping for a good vid here, but noone has found anything good on YouTube recently, so tough luck.
I think I'm going to ease up on this section now, since I'm finding it harder to find you a site and a video at the same time, so from next post, I think I'll make it a Weekend Watch, and a Wednesday Website (unoriginal heading alert!). Sorry for the inconveince this may cause.
