The Gamers' Dark Reality/The Decennial Depressionist Day

It's a little hard to face, but any person that's played on some sort of technology will tell you that whatever you're using isn't going to last forever. Mostly a problem for me, since now that I'm at univeristy, all the PS2 games left behind at home have become unusable, and thus getting rid of the only PS2 at home makes it even more of an issue.

It's like, I'm trying to hang onto a possibly happy childhood memory, and that's just getting ripped away, and someone says, "Sorry, that's not important." Oh yeah, voice? Well, I've got a little story for you!

But you'll have to wait. 'Till June 23. Just because.

I just want to continue with these games. It's nostalgia... isn't it?

Uh... anyway, more to the current point.
It's Day 10 at university, and it's coming around to the point where the people I met in the first week are disappearing, and generally what happens is that the only people you keep in touch with by this time are people where you have contact details. So right now, that makes... five. Tops.
That's becoming an increasing problem, actually. Mainly because it looks strange eating in the dining hall by yourself, and besides, I'm currently eating dinner in my room, because the view of several trees and the occasional bird is a lot pleasing that watching a line consisting of 30-odd people shuffling forwards in an awkward version of the conga line. Plus takeout isn't that bad, it's recycleable too!

I know that everyone else is pressuring me to find more people to talk to here, but to be honest that doesn't happen immediately. It's my own personal life guide I'm following here (plus sometime this year I'll add some stuff on that). And in some bizarre, teen movie-inspired way, the right friend will appear eventually. I already have several contacts from school and college, and they've lasted, and I go for quality, not quantity. If that makes sense.

Wednesday's Website
This week's website features a combination of two things I like looking at (not obsessively, mind you), the periodic table, and video game characters. In an interesting picture that probably took several hours or days to resarch, copy and paste, I now give you the periodic table of video game characters! Find it here, and as an added challenge, I can name 50 of them, how about you?

Change happens sometimes subtle other times obvious.Technology can move location to suit the individual. We don't mean to make it difficult for anybody. I understand that we all think differently and need to accommodate where we can.

Louis - I am happy to give you my Playstation and TV screen if you want it at Massey. We need to make space though so if you don't want it there , I will sell it.
Don't worry about making friends but try and get out of your room as it is hard to meet people there. Quality not quantity is definitely the best way to go.
