A Lax Weekend

Since my last post, there has been absolutely nothing happening that could be considered interesting to write about, so I'd better just skip ahead to the-

THIS JUST IN... GIANT EARTHQUAKE IN CHRISTCHURCH!

Well not right now, but rather earlier yesterday. In fact it probably happened while I was still awake. I was still up at 4 you see, and that would probably explian why I didn't re-emerge from the bedsheets until around 2 that afternoon.

I give points to Facebook for being a quick tool for news spreading.
Since the Christchurch earthquake at around 4:30 in the morning, news had quickly spread around about whether friends were alright, any damage, etc.

It is simply amazing how there have been no fatalities so far, considerding the destructive capabilities of a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. Although now the central city is blocked off by barricades, much to the slight annoyance to a select few of my friends down there. Although the next challenge would be to continue living in an environment that could easily roll downhill at any moment with aftershocks occuring frequently, and even most of the water supplies have been comprimised. We wish you guys the best and hope that it all gets cleared up soon.

But apart from that, there's nothing else to report. Seriously.

The Weekend Watch
During a holiday baking session at our house, someone needed some butter. Somehow that was funny. But it turned into a spontaneous video production on how to make some coconut brownies (conformation that they are indeed officially brownies and not biscuits is still pending). Grab a pad and pencil and grab this great recipe as you watch along!
