So I'll admit that I've been a bit distracted this week from a large amount of file space being taken up on my PSP, I'll let you figure out the rest.
Yes I am of course interested in trying new stuff when it comes to gaming, the general rule that catches most poeple out is that I am very selective when it comes to gaming when the offical rating is M or higher- actually come to think of it I don't think I've played a restricted game... in my opinion I think that's quite resonable... although I think the social norm in the gamer community is that you need to play one by the age of 21 or something; three words: No. Thank. You.
So I've been giving Kingdom Hearts a go recently, considering it's the first Square Enix game I've ever played it's like a whole new genre... and what I considered a strange mix of Disney with Final Fantasy-style characters actually turned out quite well. The story is nicely set out too, at least I think so... considering I'm not a review writer I wouldn't really know much about that stuff. I digress.
It's hard to believe that the Pokemon series has been going on for five generations. That's right. Five. The latest installment, the Black and White versions, are going on sale in Japan within the next 24 hours, and in fact the pre-orders have already been recieved early. And it almost seems like they're going for a fresh start with this one... a completely new region to explore (as always), but what's this? None of the previous species are accessible until you complete the gme up to a certain point? Hmm... it certainly looks like they're trying to get new players to start playing without feeling like they've missed out on much... they only thing that could really prove that is if the region was disconnected from the other four... oh wait. It is.
Yes, after the previous four generations worth of regions being based on regions of Japan, it seems like we're now jet setting over to a completely new country, so it sould seem. And what region is it based on? New York City. Great. We're never going to hear the end of this from NY-based poke-fans.
Unsurprisingly, I've been following the updates since earlier this year, and unless it goes over rough with the gaming review boards, it certainly seems like I'll be getting a Nintendo DS sometime in 2011/2012 when it gets released in our corner of the globe.
I think that's enough gaming news to hold everyone over for another month.
And as a matter of fact, reading the previous post could prety much sum up what happened over the last few days: more students got floored on Wednesday; I missed the bus again from work on Friday; I woke up during the night after some weird dream with a musical number involving my family, Richard Hammond and James May in a bar with baby blue decor, followed by a scene in Palmerston North during the early hours of the morning of me, a female New York police officer riding a horse, and what appeared to some guy's girlfriend getting shot by some guy wanting the gun hidden in a yoghurt pot but was actually just vanilla yoghurt... no wait, actually that last one was new. But I am never eating anything directly before going to sleep ever again.
I've become a bit more comfortable with missing the bus now (although I probably should just work on getting out the door faster), which arises a possibly-temporary new segment!
The Burger King Burger Review Guide
Today's meal: The Kingpin (Value Meal - $8.00 with AA Rewards Card).
Advertised as "whatever it wants, it gets". It's certainly true, as it's so far the only burger I've eaten that actually has onion rings inside the bun. Inside. No more do you have to order them separately!
The special barbeque sauce complements this chicken burger nicely with lemon-flavoured Lift to taste, completing the-

Yeah, that segment's not gonna take off.
So what about this 'storm', huh? Rain, wind, and... uh... rain (and wind).
Oh wait, there's the hail.
Actually it hasn't been too much of a hinderance, because whenever I want to go outside to do something the ran seems to die down a little. I hear that some regions got hit a lot worse than here so I guess we didn't really get the full brunt of it. Not that I'd like to... the handful of blackouts we've had on campus recently are hard enough to deal with (I'm taking Computer Science, remember... it involves computers).
As then there's a few things going on in the background I can't mention...
Well, Monday marks a full 365 days since I first started this blog (with a headache). I'm surprised I'm still going, actually... usually I drop something after a month. I guess I still find it useful. Join us on Monday for a look back at the last year!
