Hi everyone, time to get back to another post here on the interwebs. And as a common theme today, it seems that I'm just repeating myself.
I mean that I've just had a job interview today. The tutoring place in town is looking for someone to do some Maths and Physics tutoring for some seniors, and some occasional junior tutoring as well. Sounds good.
I've experienced all four of my papers this semester now, and my first impression would be that my Communications paper will be the most challing, since I am not very good at conforming to a given structure for a report or essay, in my opinion. But we'll see. Plus side, there's no end of semester exam.
Next up is Declaritive Programming. Sounds ok, looks ok, just the fact of learning a new method of programming is a little off-putting. The lecturer is also the same for my Computer Science Fundamentals paper, which is the follow-on to one of the papers I took back in 2009. A little but more familiar, although apparently it's a lot more abstract or something.
And then Japanese. I have a bit of ground to make up for since last semester but hopefully it should go smoothly as well. It's all in the textbook, so technically I can go at my own pace; to an extent of course.
Throw in the bonus of having a Wednesday and Friday free, and it looks like a promising semester.
Got an application to be an RA, too. Although the application made the job sound a lot more serious than expected. But in hindsight, it was kind of coming anyway...
Hopefully I can get that sent off all nicely by the due date in mid-August.
News on the website: A few changes needed, good to know it's coming along fine. We've also started discussions with ISPs to get it hosted, so I'm expecting it to be online soon.
And I'm back (or rather attempting to go back) to my weekly comic routine, I noticed I hadn't touched some drafts since the end of last semester, so I'm afraid the punchlines might be a little stale. That, and you probably had to be there. Oh well. Here is the not much awaited for, episode 8.
And now to reply to some comments posted before the holidays.
E3 was dominated by hardware this year, although everyone had some games being showcased on the side. Primarily, the games showcased the new hardware being relased, although fans have been looking forward to the sequel to the serious-yet-humourous platformer, Portal. Looking forward to it myself. It combines first-person viewing with progressvely-difficult gameplay! As for Fallout: New Vegas, don't know much about it sorry, Kyle. Can you fill me in?
And great to know that Kyle 'doesn't' have a gaming addiction.

The Nerd Test - Yeah, you know you want to take it. There's a nice little graphic in it for you. Personally, I find it acceptable that I be classified as both 'cool' and 'not a nerd'. Results may vary. Click here.
