Probably not.
But still, since the choice of images used in earlier posts is attracting enough lost traffic like flies in a spider's web, it's worth a chance that someone will come along and turn this into a feature film. Ha ha ha ha ha no.
I had a quick look in the new-ish "Stats" tab Blogger has and apparently the top five countries interested in this anthology of complicated analogies and sentences are New Zealand, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
This sparked further investigation and upon consulting a website (that I'll share with you later), my blog is appraised at exactly $22,307.59 (presumably U.S. dollars). How they arrived at that number I have no idea, but comparing it to a more popular blog like the Huffington Post, I quickly realised that I am nowhere fast with my current ideas (since their appraisal amounted to over $369 million). Which brings me back to a point I made a few posts ago... I realise that I was desperately asking for ideas for content for this year (which drew a blank), but my initial thought for starting a blog in the first place was that (rather poetically) there are billions of stories around the world, and everyone should get the chance to tell theirs to a stage that will listen to or read it.
Looking over the past year-and-a-bit I see that some people are interested (maybe) in this but the general internet couldn't care less about some guy that's not a celebrity. Oh what a strange world we live in.
Typing this I realise I've been repeating myself over previous posts over and over and over but I don't like following suit to all those popular, gossip-y YouTube channels and blogs; but at the same time it seems like the only way to get ahead on the internet. It's a dilemma.
I don't expect stuff to happen about this; I'll keep trundling along in my own little corner of cyberspace until I come up with the next big thing in blogging or something, but at least I can see where I started. And perhaps everyone else in the future can, too.
My Thoughts On... Thoughts on the Wii
So as to not end the post on not-too-much of a sour note, I thought I might take the time to explain the current situation in the gaming console wars (the seventh generation), in layman's terms.
There are currently three main gaming consoles out there on sale for public consumption: The Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. Right now the 'hardcore' gamers are kicking up a sort of internet-fueled fuss about why the Wii sucks and then puts the opinion-wielding individual on a side of the Playstation/Xbox fence, in a similar fashion to Honda vs. Ford in New Zealand's V8 Supercars.
Not to get on anyone's bad side, they do raise some points. The main fact is that the un-high definition support. Since the top clientele of AAA gaming companies thirsts for great graphics (and I don't blame them), they would, theoretically, shun the Wii and walk in the direction of the other two.
Next point; apparently they hate motion controls. Well so much for innovation, but for anyone that's grown up over several years of gamepad use, of course you would go straight for a nice-fitting piece of plastic with lots of buttons. Plus of course you can't mimic everything with some sort of movement... or can you?
And lastly (the big one), it's all about the game range. Nintendo has this quirky habit of re-using franchises, backing away from something new, and leaving it to the other consoles. Not that this is a bad thing... well-known titles already have an established fanbase, and are essentially guaranteed some sort of revenue. On the other hand, there is some saying somewhere relating risk to reward, and that is exactly what you get from a game that pushes the limits established so far, a good example would be Little Big Planet. So points to Sony.
The bottom line is that the Wii is marketed to families and people that normally play games. I'm pretty sure catering to the serious gamer wasn't on their priority list, but of course they give it a go by releasing a platform release of games like Call of Duty. In terms of whether the PS3 or Xbox 360 is better... well, I think I'd better let time sort that one out.
Secret Statistics
This week the counter remains at 3.
As a hint to be added to last week's section introduction, the most recent count occurred in the Warehouse clothing department, rather coincidentally. It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it situation.
The Last Words
In the news recently: A computer on a game show? Are we in the future yet?

Are you counting anything I can figure out from here. I don't really follow anything only relevant for New Zealand.
