This week ends with me recovering with sickness, and my sister getting a possible sickness from over consumption of a redo of the other sister's previous chocolate birthday party theme.
So I haven't been able to complete much lately, although my Japanese assignment did get completed (on the last day, mind you) with myself being in less-than-desirable condition.
That was further disguised during my Friday work slot, trying to not give away that I was actually having coughing fits, not having something in my windpipe. It involved several cups of water, and I didn't exactly want to call up earlier that day and say I couldn't come in, since it was only my second official day, and as it turned out other tutors were already away sick.
And so is the radio station manager, the weekly website meeting got canceled again.
But on Saturday I had time between coughing fits to host a small chocolate-themed quiz segment via Skype to a bunch of nine chatty girls 100 kilometers away. Amazingly one of them knew how to pronounce soy lecithin correctly (or so I thought, since I don't actually know how to pronounce it myself).
But today is her actual birthday, so now Miss Twelve now becomes Miss Thirteen. Yes, officially a teen, she will be attending my old college next year, providing nothing unexpected changes that.
Next birthday is my future step-brothers' on the twelth, and as of tomorrow I'm back to developing a simple flash game that I've kinda avoided for a bit... need to get back on that.
Also this week, a draft for a Communications paper is due; need to start writing that, an information evening regarding becoming an RA, need to set aside time for that, not to mention finishing the application form. And all this will happen between lectures and all-new work days. The work load just keeps increasing.
Day 14 #9
This comic is the one I sent to my sister in a birthday card, now online!
The Weekend Watch
Actually a series of videos to subscribe to, as suggested by my mate Kyle, That Mitchell and Webb Look's David Mitchell shares his thoughts on all things in a webcast called David Mitchell's Soap Box. Check it out here.
