Day 133

It's been an interesting half of the week so far. Let's recap.

So the Monday started off rather loudly with a fire drill at 7 in the morning, not too extreme a time I guess, and on the plus side I was already up turning off my alarm clock.
We played the same team again for frisbee that evening, and we managed to more points than previously. Unfortunately, so did the other team, so we were handed a loss, and even after the '7 point bonus' for playing fair, we were still down by 5. So it's not looking good so far, but there's still 5 other teams we haven't played yet.

Tuesday morning went over well, it was just after lunch I started to feel rather exhausted after working for around 5 hours straight, and that carried over into after dinner, where I went to sleep for several hours to get raid of the stomach pain. And that worked, so I got up again and started working on birthday-related things.

With my youngest sister's birthday rapidly approaching (this Sunday) I've already sent off the card, and hopefully she'll get it by Friday, with something inside which I will share with you on Sunday.

And we come to  Wednesday, where I still felt a little flat after recovering from the pain of the previous night, and due to the university's open day I decided not to trek outside my hall feeling half-asleep and looking like I was on drugs (which I wasn't, I can assure you). But in the afternoon I had my official first day at Number Works 'n Words, for a couple of hours I was just working (a la assistant) with the kids, helping them out when they got stuck with problems, etc. nothing I hadn't done before, although trying to control my coughing to disguise the fact that I wasn't feeling well added to the challenge.

Which brings us to now - I have several assignments due within the next few weeks, and adding that to numerous family-related tasks, it's already adding up to be heck of a birthday season. And now back to work.
