So it's already been a year since I was desperately trying to wrap up the past 10 years before midnight ticked over. Luckily I am gifted with an extra 24 hours to do so this time. Hooray for pre-posting!

It's hard to decide on a verdict about whether the day was a success or not, so today (June 24) I decided to keep score. Let's see how the day played out.

How It Came To Be (A Fanboy's Story)

I feel inspired to write another one of those filler posts.
Chances are this one'll span a few nights writing to get all the dates right, but I'm sure I'll be happy with the result. And I hope you will be too.
So without further ado, here's my story.

Prologue
First released back in 1991, the Sonic franchise has been going strong for 19 years now. Since then there have been numerous titles in the timeline, spanning countless consoles, earning a spot in the Top 20 best selling video game franchises of all time, not to mention one of the first spaces in the Walk of Game. Who knew that a new mascot for SEGA would create such success?
Many people will realize by now that I am indeed a Sonic fan, but on a scale of 1 to 10 of fandom, I'd probably just give myself a 5 at the moment. Today I'm going to go back in time and see how parts of my previous years have seemingly slotted together without knowing.

Back to Where I Was

So my university lectures resume tomorrow, plus our statistics class is lucky to know that we have our mid term tomorrow evening. I'm not considering this a problem, because for one it's multichoice and it covers all the stuff I pretty much covered in high school.

Picking Up the Pieces

So I'm going back up to university tomorrow, after a week and a bit of relative relaxation. And by relative I mean less than what I and many others would consider ideal. In a way it didn't feel like a holiday at all; just an extra long weekend, which I guess is a holiday...

Sweet Smell, Paraparaumu

You know, it's funny how you sometimes notice that when you go into someone else's house, it smells unfamiliar for a few minutes or something. And how when you return it still smells the same. In a sense it's the same here - this time though my room is vaguely unfamiliar due to mass rearrangement, and the trademarked family smell has been mixed with 'Eau du Scotcher'. A lot nicer than previously, actually.
